Sulaymaniyah is a frequent host and is served by Sulaymaniyah International Airport (ISU), with most venues, hubs and universities a short taxi ride from the centre. Erbil, reached via Erbil International Airport (EBL), also hosts a steady stream of events and offers better access to investors and corporates.

The two cities are around three to three and a half hours apart by road, linked by regular shared taxis and by hired cars with drivers, so it is quite feasible to base yourself in one and dip into events in the other. Within each city, taxis and ride-hailing reach venues and hubs easily and cheaply. Because so many events are organised by community groups and announced informally, always confirm the specific location locally — a quick message to the organiser or host hub will save you arriving at the wrong address.
